Class of 2008

My son Graduation was last night, it was fantastic how they do it here, the whole week has been celebration for them Monday was the Valedictory Walk which had to be partly cancel due to the weather, Tuesday was the formal, Wednesday was the BBQ day out & last night was the Graduation, all of the girls were dress up, well what can I say about boys, boys will be boys.

They all received School book with every single year student pictures all the teachers everything they did during that year was in the book.
At the end of the evening they got all the year 12 student on the stage & above them was a huge TV screen where they filmed the year 12 during their final year, for the family & friends to watch at the end everybody was crying.





Next week is start of Schoolie.

That sounds amazing and like so much fun! My graduation over here was rather dull, and lots of students didn't even bother turning up. Can't wait to see my kids graduate. I'm sure I'll be the embarrassing mum who's weeping and waving

Thanks, I just had a look at the thread, the pictures are wicked! You look great, I LOVE that dress! Your Dad's story about the trembling bridge freaked me out though. Should have skipped reading that bit

We are on the GC, he goes to Benowa SHS.

My daughter's graduation has been over a few weeks. A couple of weeks ago they had their Night of Excellence where academic awards were given out for all the grades and also awards given by the teachers to those senior students who have been involved in school and community activities (these were a surprise to those that received them). Then their mass on Friday night, all the girls gave their mother a single red rose and thanked them for all they have done for them the past 17 odd years and then dinner where afterwards they had a slide show of the seniors from when they were in grade 8. A few tears were shed I can tell you, me included. She's now off to schoolies, her best friend's mother is dropping them off and I'll go pick them up next weekend.

Same as the eldest, he got two awards of Excellance couple weeks ago before graduation his , we were very proud parents, for somebody who's been at that school only for one year, he got all his result back all of them were VHA 4 to 8 grades.
