[Haggis]

Hi

I'm off to a christmas bbq and need to take a salad. I usually do the boring potato or coleslaw or mixed but I'd like to try something a bit different. Have any of you got any ideas? I'd like to try something noodley but I'd love to hear all suggestions or your personal faves.

Broccoli Salad

2 heads of broccoli
Half red onion finely
12 rashers of bacon
Half cup toasted pine nuts
Half cup sultanas

Dressing

three quarters of cup egg mayonnaise
quarter cup white vinegar
quarter cup caster sugar




Chop broccoli into small pieces
Chop onion finely
Grill bacon till very crisp and chop into small pieces.

Mix all ingredients together

Mix dressing together and pour over salad, stir well.

If I take this to a bbq everyone raves about it and I give the recipe out to at least 2 or 3 people. It is a real crown pleaser even for those that don't like broccoli.
