So, whats with this MIME thingy??

In a chat that sparked off Timber on his MAME thread, I get this message when I log on on my Mac...

If I click the link I just get sent to M/softs windows site... no other info provided...

Any suggestions?

The issue seems to be with your version of Safari, and Firefox.

Here is what I found on the internet.

Here's the fix I just got a new puter and had the same issue with a supposed missing plugin. It's not a plugin problem at all, but a couple of missing .dll files.

You need to insert two files into your FireFox "plugins" folder. They are: npdsplay.dll and npwmsdrm.dll. You can Google them and download them if you can't find them on your computer.

Simply copy them into the FireFox plugins folder and you can play those video files. It's a two minute fix and you'll be up and running.

Had this problem with the home computer on Windows. Upgraded WMP but didn’t help. The solution is to install two missing DLL files in the Firefox plugins directory. You’ll likely need to restart Firefox. The DLL’s were:

• npdsplay.dll
• npwmsdrm.dll

Thanks for all that mate - as I was on Safari the instructions ended up making no difference. I went into the Apple store Genius bar in Sydney and they recommended to use Firefox.

All done and the problem has gone away!

Ahhh...

That be the reason.

I have 2 pcs, here in my office, running Firefox and Int Exp.

I check between the 2 when ever i do anything.. and if all is good, it gets launched.

I dont have safari, or ubuntu.. or linux... so dont bother testing for other variants.
