Said nursery is bloody expensive! They really mark up retail sales. Look at their wholesale prices on the website - about half the retail. If you can find what you want elsewhere then buy it. Their bangalow palms were 3-4 times more expensive than elsewhere last time I looked

We have four plam trees in our rental I hate it now, if I ever buy house it has plam tree it will go for a chop.
Too messy & all the bats always fighting in there, they make such noise.

I used to be green fingered, but not so much now. It's really hard keeping anything healthy living near the ocean and having such strong winds here. We realised, after a great deal of time and money spent, that we couldn't have the hanging baskets we used to love making up back home as the wind and heat just killed them off, no matter how much feed and water we gave them. Our Hibiscus and Magnolia have been a success, but only in pots, as then we can move them under the porch and pergola when the heat sets in.
Ooops, I meant Gardenia's and boy do they smell nice.

Gotta agree, Gardenias do smell nice, albeit a tad pissy smelling at times, but I blame the dogs on that.

The bestest smell is off Yesterday Today Tomorrow, they smell heavenly.

Believe it or not, different species of Gardenia smell different from each other, but we'll blame it on the dogs.

Do you have a picture of one of those Steve? Edit that, just scrolled up. They look like African Violets. I wonder if they grow well here in Perth?

Haha. Just looked YTT's up and found this fact sheet. We are in a frost free area of Perth, but I doubt they will grow well because they don't like wind. It also says that the berries have been know to poison dogs.
