On the 'site that cannot be named' you can go directly to the last post in a thread by clicking on the time/date in the last post column

... and chance of getting this here too? I keep clicking on the date and then wondering why it doesnt work

Try clicking on the green arrow next to the date, it takes you to the last post in that thread

Ta for that I missed it too, I also noticed in the 'latest posts' section (bottom-right of the home page) you can click on the green down arrow to get to the first unread post
