Perth validation trip - British Expats Australia

We arrive there on the 23rd July as part of a validation trip .

any recomendations as to where to stay are welcome , we are there 9 days before moving on to Adelaide .

Hi Scott,

Ooh, I wish I was going too. You'll have a ball. Here's some advice which you can either take or not take.

As you know we're off to Perth.

I would suggest you stay somewhere that pretty central to Perth city. You can explore pretty much anywhere from there.

We stayed in a place called Quinns Rocks, which is a coastal suburb about 30 minutes (by train) from Perth.

Also look south of Perth. Such as Mandurah etc. I would be wary about going too North of Perth as it becomes quite unpopulated the further North you go.

Have fun in Perth. I loved it when we went. But be aware no supermarkets are open on Sunday or Bank Holidays and shut at 6pm.

I'd second all that but would add that IGA is usually open Sundays and public holidays. Our local is which is good when you forget things at the last minute.

We stayed right in the centre of Perth and were eyeing up a certain area to live in then then got here and bought somewhere completely different ...

Don't know dude , house market has it a slump.. I'm not giving it away , we've worked hard for it so i'm validating then i'll bide my time . it will stay on the market & if we have a sale we can come when it suits , no rush , no fekin about .

I'm not that cheesed off with the UK that i wanna go now , so .....

They sell Guiness in some of the pubs here
