My recommended reading list is:
Thrillers (Dectective & Cop stuff) Mark Billingham's Tom Thorne series - my favourite being Sleepyhead his first one. Sleepy Head | Mark Billingham Any of the James Patterson Alex Cross series: Books : Alex Cross | The Official James Patterson Web Site Funny/girlie Books: My favourite is The Undomesticated Goddess - it had me in stitches I also like the shopaholic series.True Stories - you can't beat Angela's Ashes. It's the funniest book of this genre I have ever read. The saddest has to be A child named It. I also like some of the Martina Cole books, especially Lady Killer So them are my favourties, what are yours?

I love to read!
I've just finished Martina Cole's 'Faces', it was quite good but a bit repetative at times...a good read though all the same. Like you Wendy I adore James Patterson, and I like Karin Slaughter, and Harlan Coben. I'm a bit of a sicko and mostly read about murder and stuff, but I have read the odd sad books with My Sister's Keeper, A Child Called It, and Flowers In the Attic being some real tear jerkers. The most disturbing book I ever read was Fred and Rose West.....very, very disturbing.

![]() I loved the time travellers wife, it was one of a few books that i couldn't guess what was going to happen next and it was refreshingly different, i also liked Anne rices witching hour trilogy, it was quite a few years ago that i read them but i remember enjoying them, (might reread) i also surprising liked Lance Armstrong's it not about the bike, where that man gets his strength from is beyond me! |

I am being serious here.
anything by Enid Blyton, especially The Famous Five books. I just love the escapism the books gave me as a kid, and the adventurous lives these kids had. ENID you rock !

I enjoyed the first few Martina Cole, but then they get very samey. Just reading gone baby gone cant remember who its by and cant be arsed to go upstairs to look, which is ok. Domestic goddess by Sophie Kinsella was very funny. I like Erica James too, havent got time to do too much reading at the mo but try to fit it in when I can.
Forget me not, by Mandasue Heller was good I read that recently. Nearly finished the one im on now, so looking for recommendations for the next Jxx
